Power Lines Down on Route 114 in Burke

At approximately 11:26 AM, emergency responders were dispatched to Route 114 in Burke for reports of power lines down in the roadway on fire. Multiple fire units from East Burke and West Burke responded to the scene. Initial reports indicated that wires were down and burning.

At 11:45 AM, further updates confirmed that the power lines are live on the roadway. Traffic is being diverted at Victory Road, and northbound traffic is being stopped. The local electric utility has been notified and multiple customers in the area are without power. Motorists are advised to avoid the area until further notice. No injuries have been reported at this time.
