At approximately 6:25 PM, Vermont State Police received a report of pedestrians walking on Interstate 91 southbound near mile marker 126 in St. Johnsbury. According to initial dispatch communications, the individuals may have been associated with a truck. At 6:33 PM, further transmissions indicated a response to mile marker 126 on I-91 northbound as well. At approximately 6:47 PM, additional dispatch communications indicated that units remained on scene near the mile marker. At approximately 7:01 PM, dispatchers transmitted information about a Suzuki hatchback near the same mile marker. At about 8:03 PM, a brief transmission referenced '75, North Walmart 126' and '91', possibly indicating ongoing activity in the area. At approximately 8:31 PM, dispatch communications mentioned a dark-colored sedan near the same location. At approximately 8:40 PM, a Vermont State Police unit reported a white GMC SUV at Railroad Street near the interstate in St. Johnsbury, in the same area where the pedestrians were reported earlier. Police are advising drivers to use caution in the area.
