At approximately 12:49 PM Monday, Newport Ambulance was dispatched to Wendy's at 187 Waterfront Plaza in Newport for an older female with severe COPD who fell in the store and struck her head. According to initial reports, the woman is conscious but nearly out of oxygen. First responders arrived on scene and were providing care as of 12:53 PM. Further details are pending.
