At approximately 6:04 AM, Newport Ambulance and Morgan Rescue were dispatched to 39 Railroad Street, apartment 6 in Brighton for a report of a male experiencing diabetic ketoacidosis. Initial reports indicate the patient's blood sugar was over 497. Crews are responding to the scene to assess and treat the patient. Further details will be released as they become available.
