At approximately 11:17 AM on Sunday, Newport Ambulance and Newport Police were dispatched to 129 Lake Street in Newport City for a report of an 81-year-old female who had fallen and struck her head. Units arrived on scene at 11:22 AM and declared a Code 4 emergency response. The patient's condition is not yet known. Further details will be released as they become available.
