At approximately 2:44 PM, Newport Ambulance was dispatched to the NECA Building at 371 Main Street in Newport City for a 40-year-old female experiencing adverse alcohol withdrawal symptoms, described as over-intoxication. According to dispatch communications, the patient is reportedly having difficulty related to alcohol withdrawal. First responders are on scene and providing medical assistance.
At around 3:10 PM, a Newport ambulance unit was reported to be transporting the patient to an area hospital. Further details on her condition are not yet available.
At approximately 5:06 PM, a unit confirmed it was en route to North Country Hospital. Further updates are pending.
