At approximately 3:59 p.m., Newport Ambulance was dispatched to 35 Bel Air Drive in Newport City for a 75-year-old female with a history of COPD who was experiencing labored breathing. According to first responders, the patient's oxygen saturation was measured at 67 percent while on oxygen. The patient was described as having difficulty breathing earlier. Unit Newport 12 responded to the scene. Further updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
