At 2:10 AM, Newport Ambulance was dispatched to 110 Pleasant Street, Apartment 1, for a medical emergency. According to dispatch, a 40-year-old male reported bleeding from one of his eyes, possibly related to a stroke, and stated he had not eaten in several days. Units U-47 and U-1 responded to the scene. At approximately 2:26 AM, the patient was transported to North Country Hospital.
