At approximately 8:45 PM, Newport Police and Newport Ambulance were dispatched to Samuel Park, adjacent to the police department, for a 35-year-old female who was detoxing from alcohol. According to initial reports, the female was shaking, experiencing leg pain, and having difficulty breathing. The time of the call was logged at 8:45 PM. Emergency responders arrived on scene to provide medical assistance.
