Vermont State Police say a single-vehicle crash on VT Route 100 in Lowell on June 14 caused damage to a utility pole but no injuries.

According to police, Alan Cary, 59, of Jeffersonville, was driving south on the route around 2:55 p.m. when his 2024 GMC Sierra HD left the right side of the roadway and struck a utility pole. The weather was rainy and road conditions were wet.

Cary was wearing a seat belt and was not hurt. The Lowell Fire Department and Newport EMS assisted at the scene. No further details were released.

NEK will be looking into whether the crash caused any power outages in the area and when repairs were completed.
