Fire alarm triggered by cooking in Jefferson

At approximately 6:45 AM, Jefferson Fire Department was dispatched to a fireline activation at 959 Presidential Highway in Jefferson. Crews from Whitefield also responded mutual aid. Jefferson K-6 and K-1 reported responding to the station and direct to the scene. At approximately 7:03 AM, Jefferson K-1 reported that the alarm had been set off by cooking activity. Units were released and returned to service. No damage or injuries have been reported.
