At 7:27 PM, St. Johnsbury Fire Department was dispatched to 130 Deer Creek Lane for an alarm activation. Initial reports indicated a smoke or carbon monoxide alarm had been sounding for about 15 minutes. Upon arrival, crews found no smoke or fire in the residence. Occupants were evacuated as a precaution. No injuries were reported. At 7:47 PM, crews determined the cause to be a faulty detector and were replacing the battery before clearing the scene.
