At 11:28 AM, the Gropen Fire Department was dispatched to 156 Mechanic Street in Northumberland for a fire alarm activation. Subsequent tones were sent, and mutual aid from Lancaster Fire Department was requested. However, at approximately 11:38 AM, the alarm company reported that the key holder was on site and confirmed that everything was okay. All Lancaster units were held in quarters. The incident was determined to be a false alarm, and no further action was required.
