Domestic Incident With Sledgehammer on Route 21

At approximately 4:14 PM, Vermont State Police responded to a domestic disturbance on Route 21. According to first responders, a woman reported that she was forced out of her home by her adult son, who was making threats and suicidal statements. At one point, the son allegedly came at her with a sledgehammer. The son was reported to be extremely angry, screaming threats at her boyfriend. Responding officers also noted that a two-year-old juvenile was inside the residence. The woman was afraid for her safety. Additional details are limited at this time.
