At approximately 6:19 PM, Vermont State Police were dispatched to 1523 Evansville Road in Brownington following a 911 call from an unknown female reporting a dispute between a male and a female. The caller said someone was being choked but then disconnected. Officers initially found no one at the scene. Further investigation revealed conditions for the individuals involved. The incident remains under investigation.
At approximately 6:47 PM, a female was taken into protective custody in connection with the incident.
