At approximately 7:56 PM, emergency responders were dispatched to a direct call on Maple Lane in Newport. By 7:58 PM, first responders arrived on the scene. According to initial reports, the scene was deemed safe. At around 8:09 PM, units cleared the scene and were back in service. Shortly thereafter, at 8:10 PM, one patient was transported to North Country Hospital. The nature of the medical call has not been specified. Further details are pending.
