NEWPORT, Catamount Arts is calling on Northeast Kingdom home cooks and professional chefs to contribute recipes and artwork for a community-generated cookbook.

The Kingdom COVID Cookbook seeks recipes that cooks have perfected during the pandemic, along with a short story about the dish. The project also welcomes food-related art such as drawings, paintings, poetry, and collages.

“There are a lot of people cooking at home who probably don’t think of themselves as artists,” said Jody Fried of Catamount Arts, “and this project will reinforce that of course cooking and baking are art.”

Organizers plan to offer the finished book for sale later this year. Submissions may be featured online as well.

Recipes are due by March 13. Send them to [email protected] or visit www.catamountarts.org for guidelines.
