Boat Fire on Halls Lake in Newbury

At approximately 11:12 PM, Newbury Fire Department and West Newbury Fire Department were dispatched to 1693 Halls Lake Road for a reported pontoon boat on fire. According to dispatch reports, no one is believed to be on the boat. The caller was en route and not on scene. A second tone was sounded at 11:18 PM, and Newbury Engine is on scene awaiting manpower. Firefighters are working to extinguish the blaze. Further details are limited at this time.
