Newport Ambulance was dispatched as mutual aid to 622 Schoolhouse Road in Brownington at approximately 3:23 p.m. Saturday for a bicycle crash involving a male in his 30s. Initial reports indicated the man was unconscious. Upon arrival, first responders found the patient in and out of consciousness, with a contusion under his left eye and minor bleeding from abrasions. A deputy from the Orleans County Sheriff's Department was on scene near Brownington Elementary School.
At 3:43 p.m., Newport Ambulance unit 9 arrived on scene and confirmed the patient's condition. At approximately 5:37 p.m., Newport Police unit 12 cleared the scene, and Newport Ambulance unit 9 began transporting the patient to North Country Hospital. At approximately 6:09 p.m., Newport Ambulance unit 9 cleared the scene and returned to service, indicating the call was resolved.
