At 10:14 PM, Littleton Police received a report of a bear banging on a resident's door at 145 Reed Road. The caller reported that the bear was repeatedly knocking on the front door and peering through the window. She observed the bear via her Ring camera. The door was locked, but the bear kept returning and banging on the door. The caller stated she would call back if the bear attempted to enter through a glass back door.
In the absence of a game warden, state police advised the resident to use an air horn to scare the bear away and provided a phone number to call in the morning for further assistance. No injuries were reported. The incident is ongoing.
