Bear Cub Spotted on Bike Path in Franconia

At approximately 6:55 PM on Thursday, May 28, 2026, officials received a report of a bear cub sighting on a bike path in Franconia. The caller told dispatchers she had come upon a bear cub and expressed concern. GPS coordinates were forwarded to New Hampshire Fish and Game for follow-up. No injuries have been reported.
