At approximately 9:58 PM, Franconia Police were dispatched to I-93 North near mile marker 117 for a report of a possible deceased dog on the roadway, with a second dog nearby. Officers searched the area but found no dogs. At 10:08 PM, an officer reported that the caller likely saw a deer carcass from a previous accident at mile marker 117.4 and misidentified it as a dog. At 10:16 PM, the officer confirmed negative contact with any dogs and cleared the scene.
