At approximately 7:42 AM on May 30, Newport Fire Department was dispatched to a fire alarm activation at the Northeast Kingdom Community Action Center at 76 Lakemont Road. Engine 3 arrived on scene at 7:57 AM and conducted an investigation. By 8:04 AM, all units had cleared the scene and returned to quarters. No hazards were found. The cause of the alarm remains under investigation.
