At approximately 10:42 AM, Whitefield Fire and Ambulance were dispatched to 8 Jefferson Road for a vehicle versus pedestrian accident. Initial reports indicated unknown extent of injury. Moments later, responders confirmed a 37-year-old woman had been struck by a vehicle. She was able to walk from the scene to an apartment at 6 Jefferson Road, where she was being located. At 10:49 AM, responding units arrived on scene and reported they were under control with EMS evaluating and treating a patient.
At 11:08 AM, Whitefield Fire advised all units were clear and the ambulance returned to quarters. Further details regarding the extent of the woman's injuries were not immediately available.
