At 10:05 PM, emergency dispatchers received a report of a motor vehicle striking a deer on Interstate 91 northbound near mile marker 112 in Barnet, Vermont. According to initial reports, the deer was killed in the collision, and the vehicle involved is leaking fluid. No injuries were reported, and no airbag deployment occurred. Fire and EMS units from Barnet and Woodsville were dispatched to the scene.
At 10:12 PM, a second tone was dispatched for EMS to the same incident, now more precisely located at mile marker 112.4 in Ryegate, Vermont. Dispatchers confirmed the incident as a vehicle versus deer with no injuries, no airbag deployment, and fluid leakage. Emergency crews are responding to the scene. At 10:23 PM, Engine 1 arrived on scene and placed the vehicle in the breakdown lane. A tow was requested, with an estimated 30-40 minute ETA as of 10:26 PM. Units were coordinating to move vehicles. The incident remains under investigation.
