Two Canoes Capsize on River Near North Branch Power Station

This is a developing story. Details are preliminary and subject to change as more information becomes available.

At 6:03 PM, responders were dispatched to a water rescue for two canoes that capsized north of the North Branch Power Station on the river. Units from Worcester Fire were requested to respond to 64 Worcester Village Road. One of the canoes was found just south of the village. The canoes were reported occupied prior to capsizing and are believed to have washed up in a storm. Members of the department reported the incident. Responders are on scene; further details are limited.
