At 11:18 AM, Littleton Fire Department was dispatched to Man's Hill Road in Littleton for a report of a tree across the road on power lines that was starting to smoke. Littleton Engine 1 responded at 11:20 AM. At 11:28 AM, Engine 1 was investigating in the area of Broomstick Hill and Mantill Road but found nothing. At 11:29 AM, they were on Man's Hill Road investigating and had not located the tree; the caller referenced a sharp curve on Man's Hill Road. At 11:35 AM, crews had not yet received a response from Littleton Water and Light. No further information was immediately available.
