At around 8:07 AM, Littleton authorities were alerted to a tree blocking the southbound lanes of I-93 north of exit 42. According to initial reports, the tree, estimated to be 5 to 7 inches in diameter, fell across the right-hand lane with debris scattered across both lanes. The left lane remained passable. The New Hampshire Department of Transportation was notified and a crew was dispatched. Authorities reported that the tree was small enough to be moved by hand and that a front-end loader would not be needed.
