At 3:48 PM, emergency crews were dispatched to the area of Old Montgomery Road and Route 242 in Jay for a police incident, according to first responders. Troy Rescue was requested to stage in the area. At approximately 3:54 PM, Newport 12 responded and was directed to the scene near Old Montgomery Road. The unit arrived on scene at 3:59 PM. At 4:19 PM, Newport 12 cleared the scene and returned to service, indicating the incident was resolved. The nature of the police incident has not been specified. Further details are awaited.
