At approximately 1:26 AM, Newport Ambulance was dispatched to 854 Maxwell Road in Coventry for a 78-year-old male reportedly suffering a stroke. According to initial reports, the male was experiencing weakness in his left arm and had a history of cardiac and respiratory issues. Newport Police units also responded. The patient was conscious and breathing at the time of the call. At approximately 1:38 AM, ambulance personnel arrived on the scene and began providing medical care. Further updates will be provided as information becomes available.
