The board of Northeast Kingdom Human Services (NEKHS) is asking the community to help shape the search for a new agency director.
The board has hired consultants Julie Tessler and Simone Rueschemeyer to facilitate the process. Over the next two weeks, they will hold a series of virtual focus groups to refine the qualifications and characteristics sought in the next leader. The effort comes as NEKHS works to restore its full designation, navigate payment reform, and address mental health impacts from the pandemic.
A public forum is scheduled for May 6 at 5:00 p.m. Those interested can obtain the link by calling Colleen Bosse at 802-334-6744 extension 2376, or by visiting the NEKHS website. An online survey is also available on the agency's site.
Responses from the forum and survey will be used to create a candidate profile, which will guide the job posting, screening, and selection. Community members who wish to participate further, including in interviews with finalists, are encouraged to indicate that interest.
