At approximately 12:02 PM, emergency responders were dispatched to Vermont 232 State Forest Road in Groton near Kettle Pond Road for a motorcycle crash. The patient was initially reported to be experiencing difficulty breathing and pain in an arm. Multiple agencies including Woodsville Ambulance and Groton Rescue responded. At 12:06 PM, Groton Fire Department was also requested. At 12:14 PM, Groton Engine 1 responded with a full crew, and at 12:16 PM, Groton R1 arrived on scene. At 12:25 PM, Woodsville Ambulance 3 arrived. At 12:26 PM, first responders reported that a male patient, described as 5 feet 10 inches and 180 pounds, had soft blood pressure. The vehicle traveled approximately 8 feet into the woods. A landing zone was being prepared for possible air medical transport. At 12:28 PM, dispatchers coordinated with Vermont State Police and DART regarding a landing zone for possible air medical transport. Ground command was established as OZ command. At 12:51 PM, the state DART provided an update indicating they were approximately 15 minutes out from the scene and would communicate on VTAC-14. At 12:52 PM, the update was confirmed. At 1:21 PM, dispatchers updated that coordination for the landing zone was loaded. At 1:22 PM, ground units reported preparing for takeoff for air medical transport. At 1:31 PM, Woodsville Ambulance 3 and Groton Rescue members reported they were clear and in service. The extent of injuries remains unknown. The investigation is ongoing.
