At approximately 6:53 AM, emergency responders were dispatched to a reported medical emergency on Route 16 in Walden. Initial reports indicated a 76-year-old female was found unresponsive but breathing. The address was initially given as 2991 Route 16 but was later corrected to 2998 Vermont Route 16.
At 7:01 AM, dispatchers confirmed the female was becoming more awake and responsive. Calex Ambulance units responded to the scene. The cause of the unresponsiveness is not yet known, though the patient had injured a finger the previous day. Further details are pending.
