At approximately 7:10 PM, Newport Ambulance was dispatched to 1167 Cook Road for a 28-year-old male who had passed out and was having difficulty breathing. Initial reports indicated the man was unsure if he was breathing. By the time responders arrived, he was conscious and alert, sitting upright in a chair and talking. The patient had reportedly been in and out of consciousness. Additional emergency units responded to the scene, and media personnel were present. At 7:52 PM, emergency responders reported that the patient refused further medical treatment and transport. Units cleared the scene and returned to service.
