At 3:13 PM, Newbury EMS and Woodsville Ambulance were dispatched to 3779 U.S. Route 302 in Newbury for a lift assist. The patient, a 78-year-old female, had fallen and hurt her back on Friday and was unable to get out of her chair. Shortly after arrival, additional manpower was requested from Wells River Fire Department for extrication of the woman. By 3:15 PM, an ambulance unit reported it was back in quarters and in service, but fire crews remained on scene to assist with the extrication. At 4:01 PM, emergency crews reported that the scene had been cleared and all units were back in service.
