At approximately 3:16 PM on Thursday, May 28, 2026, emergency services were dispatched to 49 Hillside Avenue in Northumberland for a 66-year-old female who had fallen when her leg gave out. The patient was conscious, breathing, and alert upon arrival. First responders noted that the patient weighed approximately 400 pounds, requiring additional resources for lifting and transport. The incident is classified as a 17-Bravo (fall injury). At 3:25 PM, multiple units including Ambulance 2 and a VMS unit were en route to the scene. Shortly thereafter, at approximately 3:40 PM, a request for additional manpower was made, and a chief officer was reported en route to assist with the operation. Ambulance crews from the area responded and are providing medical care. Further details are expected as the situation develops.
