At approximately 3:23 AM, Newport Ambulance was dispatched to 120 Logan Drive in Newport for a report of a 79-year-old male who had fallen. According to initial dispatch information, the man suffered a possible broken nose and minor bleeding from the head. He was reported conscious and alert at the scene.
At 3:27 AM, responding units were advised to approach without lights and sirens. Emergency responders arrived on scene at 3:36 AM. By 3:41 AM, crews were clearing the location. At 4:20 AM, Newport Ambulance unit 9 was cleared and returned to service. Further details about the man's condition and transport have not yet been released.
